Script Analysis

Jennifer's Body

The script for Jennifer's body begins by explaining where the character is and where the opening scenes take place. It also states the characrers age, their full name and the name that thet are going to be known as in the film. The script then goes on to describe to the audience what is happening in the film, what the characters can see and what they are doing . In addition to this, the script begins to display what the characters are saying to each other while they are  having a conversation. With the dialogue the audience expects to see the name of the character who is speaking. A basic code and convention of a film script is characters. In a script the audience expect to see different characters being introduced. Another code and convention of a script is dialogue. In many scripts there is dialogue so that the audience is aware of who is speaking to who.  Another code and convention of a script is to have the interior sign which initially introduces the scene. Another code and convention of a script is to have an interesting and appealing opening scene. This is because the script aims to draw the audience in to read on and to watch the film.
