For my film desperate measures, I addressed my audience through the use of characters. For example, a young girl (student) is murdered. This fulfills the stereotype that young females are vulnerable. Also, a young female murdered is what the audience may be expecting in the film. Also, I have addressed my target audience by ensuring that they are left unaware of who the attacker is and whether the attacker is male or female. This therefore gives the film suspense and helps to draw in the audience as that may be the kind of films that they like watching. My film is similiar to Kidulthood and also to the film The Lovely Bones, which is about a young girl who is murdered. The unique selling point for my film is the fact that the majority of the shots for my film are pov shots. This was done so that an enigma could be created as to what is going to happen in the film. Lastly, the fact that my film has been edited in black and white and only comes into colour at the very end when the death sceen is commencing to show the blood on the young girl's hands informs the audience that the end part is the crucial part, and also as the blood on the hands is showing, gives the audience the impression that the attack was brutal and that they young girl could possibly be dead.
