The target audience for my film is 18-20 year olds. The general target audience is male and females, however the primary target audience is females. This is due to the fact that the film is more related to females and their lifestyles due to the characters and the fact that it has a stereotypical storyline about a young girl who has arguments with her friends. The genre for the film is drama/thriller. The target audience for the film will be interested in the film with this genre as they enjoy watching films that build up suspense and have them on the edge of their seats. Also, the target audience for this film watch films regularly, and go to the cinema often to watch new movies.

 

Their socio class will be between C1-E, this is because the people in these categories may have a lifestyle of working part time but also watching movies frequently. Also, the primary target audience for my film will be women of a black ethnicity. This is because they will be interested in watching films starring other black people so that they can relate to them. My mood board represents the target audience of my film as it shows that the females are young and dynamic and also represents the key aspects of the characters in my film Desperate Measures as the images highlight the main characters personality as there is an image of a girl smoking and two images of a girl presented flawlessly. The target audience for my film like to view films of the thriller genre as they like to be filled with suspense.

 

Also, the specifc target audience for my film is going to be predominately those who are unemoplyed and those who are less experienced. This is because they will have more time available to watch the film and more time to reccomend the film to others. In addition to this, the target audience for Desperate Measures is also going to be fanatics of teen thriller/drama films, which mainly asssociates with female teenagers.
