Evaluation Activity 7:
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
From looking back at my preliminary task, I have learnt that making a film can be quite challenging but can also be quite exciting if you follow the correct guidlines. I have also learnt in order for film to be edited effectively, you have to take your time and ensure that all of the shots flow well together. Also, the camera has to be kept straight and still at all times and should not be jumpy or fuzzy or it may look unprofessional.
I have also learnt that the 180 degree plays a big part in effective film making as it helps to keep the actors on the correct sides during filming and helps to keep continuity flowing. Similiarly, match on action and shot reverse shot both play a huge part in film making as they help to make the film look more realistic and also gives the film a more professional outlook with the continuity of the film.

This shot illustrates the use of match on action (continuity cutting)

This shot illustrates the use of shot reverse shot.

This shot illustrates the use of match on action and continuity cutting as it follows on from when I opened the door and walked through.

This shot illustrates the use of match on action and is also an establishing shot.

This shot illustrates the use of match on action and 180 degree rule as the actors are on different sides and as the shot has continuty cutting and links with the above platform shot.

This shot illustrates the use of an establishing shot/high shot.
This shot illustrates the use of match on action.

This shot illustrates the use of match on action. As seen in the first shot, I open a door and this shot follows that shot through to show continuity.
