Alfred Hitchcock is a famous movie director, essentially known for his 1960 movie "Pscyho." Alfred Hitchcock was born on the 13th August 1899. Alfred entered the movie industry in 1920. In 1939 Alfred left to go to Hollywood where his American Film won an award for the best picture. Also, Alfred has demonstrated the use of close up shots in his film Psycho. Psycho is a psychological film with a hybrid genre of thriller and horror. Pyscho is said to be Alfred's best film. This is because the film has a very good plot and a high cutting ratio. Alfred Hitchock is a very inspirational director as he has displayed a very good sense of diversity regarding the films that he has made, and also as he has shown an amazing use of close up shots in his movie which foreshadows a key quality in movie directing, especially if the genre of the film is thriller/horrror.

Fritz Lang is a famous movie director also known for his movie directing for thriller films. Fritz Lang began directing in 1918 in Ufa and for Nero Film. His most recent and popular films to date are "Metropolis" and "M". "M" is a thriller movie which was released in 1931, which is about the murder of children and the searching of the murderer by the city. Fritz Lang has also demonstrated a variety of shot types in his movie M. Throughout his life, Fritz has made movies which show professionalism and high quality. In the year 1976,Fritz suffered a stroke and died at the age of 85. Fritz Lang is a well organised and cautious director who makes excellent fims consisting of a high standard. I have chosen to use Fritz Lang as one of my iconic directors as I believe that he is a highly skilled director in the thriller sector of films.
